Amateur Olympic-Style Boxing Program
Amateur or Olympic-style boxing is a blend of offensive and defensive skills used in the art of self-defense. The Sturgis PAL Boxing Program provides the participant exercise, character development, self-confidence, self-discipline, structure, work, sportsmanship and friendships. In Amateur Olympic-style boxing, a boxer uses speed, maneuverability, and technique to outscore the opponent and win the decision.

Boxing Program Details
Beginner and Advanced Boxing
Participant Ages: Youth: 8-17.
Youth under 18 years-of-age: Parent or legal guardian must register, complete and sign The Sturgis PAL Registration Form and Code of Conduct Form.
Monthly Sturgis Youth boxing fee is $20.00 for youth. Sturgis PAL may offer financial assistance to those not able to afford the monthly fee. Please contact a Sturgis PAL board member or Coach Griffee if you need more information about assistance.
Boxing Program Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Registration: Register at Sturgis Youth Boxing Gym weekdays 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Boxers shall join USA Boxing and the Sturgis Youth Boxing Program.
Register with USA Boxing on-line USA Boxing. Click on membership, then click on athlete and follow instructions. Print two (2) USA Boxing registration confirmation receipts and your 2017 USA Boxing Membership Card. Keep 1 copy for your records. Bring to Sturgis Youth Boxing your USA Boxing registration papers along with your USA Boxing Membership Card, 2 shoulder shot pictures (1 1/2′ x 1 1/2″) and a copy of your birth certificate. Parent or legal guardian of youth ages 8-17 shall register athlete, complete and sign Sturgis PAL Registration and Code of Conduct.
